Puppy Linux is a unique family of Linux distributions meant for home-user computers. It was originally created by Barry Kauler in 2003. Puppy Linux is not a single Linux distribution like Debian, nor is it a Linux distribution with multiple flavors like Ubuntu.Instead, Puppy Linux is a collection of multiple Linux distributions built on the same shared principlesand using the same set of tools.
Puppy Linux has several advantages. It is ready to use with all tools for common daily computing usage already included. It is easy to use and relatively small in size (300 MB or less). It is fast, versatile, and customizable within minutes through remasters. There are also different flavors optimized to support older or newercomputers and hundreds of derivatives (“puplets”) to meet your specific needs.
